はじめに

　水腎症は，泌尿器系疾患として日頃よく経験する病態であるが，水腎症の中でも腎盂容量が1^l以上のものを特に巨大水腎症と称している。最近，腎盂容量約16^lの1例を経験したので，その症例を報告するとともに現在までに報告されている304例の巨大水腎症についての統計的考察をあわせて報告する。

A 33-year-old-female complained of abdominal tumor, abdominal pain and constipation. Laboratory features were normal in liver and kidney function. Roentgenographic features were displacement of colon to the left and pelvic cavity on barium emema and ron visualization of the right kidney on the drip infusion pyelography. Displacement of the abdominal aorta and the pelvic artery to the left and non visualizing right kidney was also demonstrated by RI-renal angiography with ^99mTc-DMS. Right giant hydronephrosis was diagnosed. Preoperatively 15 liter of pelvic fluid was aspirated.
