緒言

　泌尿器科領域において緊急手術を必要とするものの一つとして睾丸回転症がある。今回一般開業医が治療して睾丸壊死に陥り，保存手術の時期を逸した症例，一方当院にて緊急手術を施行し，壊死をまぬがれた症例などを経験したので報告する。

Six cases of testicular torsion were reported. Orchiectomy was performed in one case which occurred in undescended hypoplastic testis, and in other 2 cases orchiectomy had to be done for complete necrosis of testicle due to long term observation by a local physician. Blood circulation was recovered by surgery performed within 24 hours suspecting testicular torsion in 3 cases.

The characteristic point for diagnosis are that general signs are rather mild inspite that the onset being acute and pain being severe, and several similar attack in the past history may be a valuable point for the diagnosis of this disease.
