緒言

　腎のsimple cystは今日稀なものではないがその嚢胞内感染は意外に少なく，欧米で17例，本邦で3例の報告をみるにすぎない。

　著者は最近この稀有なる症例を経験したのでその経過を報告し若干の考察を加えてみた。

Intracystic infection in a solitary renal cyst is considered as a rare occasion and only 17 cases are reported in the foreign literature and 3 cases in the Japanese literature.

A 42 year old male with the chief complaint of high fever and right flank pain under went I.V.P. and abdominal aortography. The findings of the nephrographic stage suggested infectious solitary renal cyst which lead to nephrectomy.

The diagnosis and treatment of such case were discussed.
