　はじめに

　下咽頭腫瘍は耳鼻咽喉科領域において比較的よくみられる疾患であるが，そのほとんどは扁平上皮癌であり，その他の腫瘍の発生はまれである^1）。なかでも下咽頭の悪性リンパ腫は，その発生頻度が全頭頸部悪性リンパ腫の1％にも満たず，過去の報告もわずかに散見されるにすぎない^2〜5）。

　今回われわれは下咽頭に生じた悪性リンパ腫の1例を経験したので若干の文献的考察を加え報告する。

An 80-year-old male presented with a chief com-plaint of a swelling in the throat.

At 78 years of age, he had malignant lymphoma of the left axilla and was treated with local irradiation and chemotherapy.

Laryngoscopy revealed a mass in the left hypo-pharyngeal wall. The specimen of its biopsy showed non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, diffuse, medium-sized cell type (B-cell type). The specimen of the gastric mucosa showed the same histology.

After the clinical stage of IV was established, chemotherapy (CEPP regimen) was started. Clini-cal remission was attained at the end of the second course. He had five courses of the regimen in total.
