　はじめに

　高分解能CTを用いて，真珠腫による耳小骨および中耳腔に面する側頭骨各部位の骨欠損の頻度を，単純性化膿性中耳炎との比較により検討した結果を報告する。

The modes and incidences of bone destruction in the middle ear cholesteatoma were evaluated by high resolution computed tomography, com-paring with chronic otitis media with central perforation (COM) as control.

The head of the malleus, the body and long process of the incus were more markedly destroyed in cholesteatoma than in COM with statistical significance. With the further extension of choles-teatoma into the antrum, the tegmen of the aditus ad antrum, the lateral semicircular canal, the handle of the malleus and the Korner's septum were involved in bone destruction.
