I．はじめに
特徴的症状と胸部X線写真により気管支異物が疑われた小児に硬性気管支鏡検査を実施し，大きな気管支に沿って枝分かれした気管支鋳型（bron—chial cast）を摘出した。今回bronchial castを形成する疾患および成因について考察し，また近年本症例と酷似した小児のbronchial cast症例の報告がみられるので，15症例について文献的検討を加えた。
A 20-month-old boy presented severe dyspnea and coma. Physical examinations and the chest x-ray studies revealed a suspected foreign body in the left bronchus. By bronchoscopy a large bran-ching bronchial cast was extracted.
From 1979 to 1987 there have been 14 cases of bronchial casts in infants and children reported in the literature.
We reviewed all cases and suggested that a bronchial cast in infant produces similar symptoms to a bronchial foreign body.
