I．はじめに

　気管・気管支異物は，高木ら^1）の報告によると幼小児・中高年に多く，その異物の種類としてはピーナッツなどの豆類や歯科関連異物が多いとされている。しかし，時に珍しい異物に遭遇し，その摘出に苦労することがある。

　今回われわれは，毛ガニの殻の気管支異物を経験したので若干の文献的考察を加え報告する。

　A 64-year-old man aspirated a piece of crab-shell into the bronchus during eating a crab-leg. Computed tomography showed a foreign body in the left main bronchus.

　The crab-shell was unable to remove by conventional bronchoscopy because it had many spikes and stuck into the wall of the bronchus.

　Finally,the bronchial foreign body was removed piece by piece with ventilation bronchoscopy under general anesthesia.

　Six cases of bronchial foreign body of crab-shell have been reported in Japan from 1980 to 2000. In all these cases it had been pointed out that the removal of crab-shell from the bronchus was difficult by the same reasons of our case.
