強度近視眼における網膜格子状変性

Lattice equatorial degeneration in eyes with high myopia

　−10.25D〜−18.0Dの屈折度を有する強度近視眼344眼を対象として，眼軸延長機転の違いによる網膜格子状変性（LD）の発生率の差，すなわち後部ぶどう腫の有無とLDの発生頻度との関係について調べた。その結果，LDは後部ぶどう腫を伴わずに眼球全体が延長するタイプの眼に多く発生する傾向を示し，LDの発生には周辺部網膜の伸展，菲薄化も関与していると思われた。またLDは後極部に強い拡張，変性を伴う眼には1例も見受けられず，変性近視には発生しにくいことも示唆された。

We evaluated the incidence of lattice equatorial degeneration in 344 eyes with myopia between -10.25 and -18.0 diopters. Lattice degeneration was less frequent in eyes with posterior staphyloma than in those without. This finding was interpreted to mean that stretching and thinning of peripheralretina was positively related with lattice degenera-tion. Further, lattice degeneration was absent in eyes accompanied with severe degeneration and extension in the posterior fundus. This seemed to suggest that lattice degeneration is less frequent in eyes with degenerative myopia.
