Abstract 文献概要

　原発開放隅角緑内障（以下POAG）の中心窩視機能を簡単に検査する目的で，市川・長南式対比視力表により対比視力を測定し次の結果を得た．

（1） POAGでは対比視力の低下がみられ，病期の進んだ症例ほど低下が強かった．

（2）偽緑内障でも対比視力の低下がみられた．

（3）高眼圧症では対比視力の低下はみられなかった．

（4）緑内障の視機能検査に対比視力測定は有効である．

I evaluated the contrast visual acuity in 27 eyes with primary open angle glaucoma, 10 eyes with pseudoglaucoma and 16 eyes with ocular hypertens-ion. I used Ichikawa-Chonan test chart which is based on Landolt rings with graded contrast levels between the background the the optotypes.

All the eyes with ocular hypertension showed normal contrast visual acuity. Eyes with primary open angle glaucoma or pseudoglaucoma showed various degrees of impaired contrast visual sensi-tivity.

The impaired contrast visual acuity was positively correlated with the glaucomatous field defect. The findings indicate that the foveal function is definitely impaired when associated with middle stage of glau-comatous field defect even though the visual acuity is 1.0 or better by conventional measurement.
