Cefmenoxime点眼剤の基礎的検討および臨床使用経験

Laboratory and clinical studies of cefmenoxime ophthalmic solution

　0.5％および1％Cefnenoxime （以下CMXと略す）点眼液の家兎眼での基礎的検討と，外眼部感染症に対する臨床効果の評価を行い以下の結果を得た。

（1）結膜嚢内残留濃度は，点眼単独では60分以後180分まで残留を認めたが微量であった。しかしソフトコンタクトレンズ（以下SCLと略す）を併用する方法では，180分まで高い残留濃度が維持できた。

（2）角膜内移行濃度は，0.5％および1％点眼液とも5分毎5回の点眼法で，6時間まで良好な移行濃度を示した。

（3）房水への移行はSCL併用法以外は不良であり，硝子体へは今回用いた方法ではCMXの移行は認めなかった。

（4）臨床検討例18例に対する効果は慢性涙嚢炎では60％，その他の感染症では全例有用であり，CMX点眼液の副作用は認めなかった。

We evaluated the possible efficacy of cefmenoxime (CMX), a new antibiotic, when used as 0.5% and 1.0% ophthalmic solutions.

In the rabbit eye, the concentration of CMX in the cul-de-sac showed a rapid decay either after a single instillation or five consecutive instillations at 5-minute intervals. A high concentration in the cul-de-sac was achieved with an additional use of soft contact lens for either method of instillation.

CMX showed a peculiarly good and persistent penetration into the cornea following instillation into the cul-de-sac.
