Abstract 文献概要

　27歳の女性の片眼（左眼）に，円板状実質性角膜炎の病像を呈し，典型的な臨床経過をたどった角膜ムンプスの症例を報告した。ウイルスが表層よりもより深層に影響を及ぼし，浮腫混濁とデスメ膜襲を形成した。さらに虹彩炎，高眼圧を伴ったが，約1週間にて治癒した予後良好な角膜炎であった。

A 27-year-old female developed rapid loss of vision, lacrimation and pain in her left eye 7 days after an acute onset of parotitis. The cornea showed severe and extensive keratitis disciformis profunda accompanied by serous iritis and raised intraocular pressure in the affected side. This lesion differed from other conventional forms of keratitis disciformis profunda in the rapidity of its develop-ment, marked opacification and swelling of the entire cornea, and the prompt and complete clear-ing. These features seemed to be characteristic for direct invasion of paramyxovirus (mumps virus) in the corneal stroma.
