　色素上皮の模様ジストロフィは筋緊張性ジストロフィに伴うものと，全身異常を伴わないものに大別でき，さらに後者は常染色体劣性遺伝性のものと常染色体優性遺伝性のものに分類できる。常染色体劣性遺伝性のものはSjögrenの網状ジストロフィに相当し，常染色体優性遺伝性のものは，黄斑部に蝶形，巨大網状，網状，顆粒状など種々の模様の色素沈着を呈する黄斑ジストロフィである。また，常染色体優性遺伝性のものに似た色素沈着を呈する散発例も存在する。

"Patterned dystrophies of the retinal pigment epithelium" mean all kinds of genetically deter-mined patterned pigmentary dystrophy localized in the macular retinal pigment epithelium and characterized by good visual function and good visual prognosis.

This article describes a 7-year follow-up study of butterfly shaped pigment dystrophy, the results of examination about butterfly-like pigmentation in a sporadic case and the pigmentary macular chan-ges in a case of myotonic dystropny. All the cases were seen at the Department of Ophthalmology, Ni jmegen University, the Netherlands.
