はじめに

　起炎菌の動態を知る事は，眼感染症の治療上，重要なことである。従来より都市における起炎菌については多くの報告があるが，農村地域におけるものは少ない。われわれは長野県佐久総合病院において約3年間（1972〜74年），急性結膜炎，涙嚢炎，麦粒腫の，3疾患について，おのおの起炎菌の検出，Disc法による抗生物質の感受性および点眼薬の疾患に対する効果について，調査を行なつたので報告する。

We analysed 208 patients with external eye infections (acute conjunctivitis, hordeolum or dacrycystitis), who were seen in Saku Hospital in a rural area in Nagano Prefecture, as regards the causative organisms, sensivity tests and therapeutic outcomes.

The more common organisms were : Hemo-philis influenzae (18.9%), Diplococcus pneumo-niae (12.3%), Staphylococcus aureus (15.7%), Streptococcus (16.4%) and Staphylococcus epidermidis (23.1%). We did not find a case with Pseudomonas aeruginosa or Klebsilla.These tendencies are similar to those observed in the cities in the past.
