　3—〔α—（4'—nitrophenyl）—β—acetylethyl〕—4—oxy—cumarin （Sintrom）は臨床薬理効果よりすれば，Cumarin製剤のうち作用持続時間の点で長いものと短いものの中間にあり，網膜疾患に用いた報告は，本邦では松岡他（昭34），鈴木（昭34），三国他（昭35）等がある。

　三国他によれば網膜血栓症にたいする本剤の効果機序には抗凝血作用のほか脱血清コレステロール作用も原因療法として関与するものではなかろうかという。

Sintrom is 3-[α(4-nitrophenyl)-(β-acetylethyl) 4-hydro oxy cumarin in the chemistry, the coagulation valency (Quik) is rapidly depressed after oral administration.

Authors research material was about 8 retinal haemorrhage patients, 7 cases with reti-nal vein thrombosis, 1 with prea retinal haemorrhage in maculla.

The anticoagulant therapy was done 12 times in these cases, 7 received Sintrom, 1 He-parin and 4 both Sintrom-Heparin.

The dosage of the anticoagulant should be adapted to the response of the patient, the frequent prothrombin tests were perfomed using Thrombokinase (Geigy).
