I．緒言

　第1〜3報^1）〜3）に於て網膜剥離（以下剥離と略）第2眼，−11D以上の最高度近視，−10D以下の近視，正視，遠視に於ける非剥離眼網膜の裂孔及び嚢状変性について遂次報告して来た。

　その後も機会ある毎に眼底精査した症例は相当数に上つて居るが，今回は既報の第1〜3報のみを総括して報告する。

1. Cystoid degeneration listed in our reports are well known cases such as "zystoide Zeichnung", "zystoide Güirtelzone mit strahligen weissen Gefässobliterationen" (Vogt), sklerotische Areale nach Pau, "äquatoriale Degeneration" (Meyer-Schwickerath), "interlac-ing white lines" or "lattice-like degeneration".

2. The incidence of tears and cystoid degeneration by ophthalmoscopic studies of the eyeground, in Part Ⅰ (1941-1957) which dealt with 99 fellow eyes of retinal detachment shows, in tears 20 eyes 20.2%, in cystoid degeneration 39 eyes 39.4%.
