　慢性虹彩毛様体炎に際し，屡々見られる瞳孔縁及び瞳孔内の色素顆粒の沈着は，主として，虹彩後癒着後の散瞳に起因すると考えられている。然し，瞳孔縁とは全く関係がないと思われる中央部に色素の散在を認める事が屡々ある。かかる場合の色素顆粒の由来を追求する目的で，牛眼球より抽出したメラニン顆粒を硝子体に注入し，白色家兎眼球に，慢性虹彩炎に於ける瞳孔色素異常と同様な所見を成立させる事が出来たので，その成因に関する考按を発表する。

Frequently ophthalmologists see an aggregation of fine, dustlike, brown pigment granu-les on the pupillary border and lens of chronic uveitis. However, the origin of the pig-ment granules is not well understood except for a case of posterior synechia of the iris.

The present studies were performed to know whether intravitrealy injected melanin granules induce aggregation of pigment in the pupillary border and lens.

Melanin granules of the cow eye, active carbon and the artificial melanin which is con-verted from dopa by autoxidation were respectively injected into the vitreous of albino rabbits.
