緒言

　小児の眼腫瘍は大変まれな疾患であるが，悪性のものが多く，不幸な転帰をとるものが多い。

　網膜芽細胞腫，眼窩横紋筋肉腫，神経芽細胞腫，緑色腫は小児の眼腫瘍の代表的なものである。著者は緑色腫の経験がないので，これについては報告できないが，Hand-Schüller-Christian病の研究経験を加え，4種の小児の眼腫瘍の超微細構造と，電子顕微鏡による検索の有用性について述べる。

Electron microscopic findings on retinoblasto-ma, rhabdomyosarcoma, neuroblastoma, and Hand-Schüller-Christian disease are described.

The cytoplasmic components, intercellular junction, cilia, and lamellar structure observedin rosettes of retinoblastoma are very similar to those seen in the photoreceptor cells of the retina.

The electron microscopic evidence of myofila-ments in rhabdomyosarcoma is useful for con-firming the definite diagnosis of rhabdomyosar-coma. Electron micrographs of rhabdomyosar-coma of the orbit reveal various developmental stages of myofibrils.
