緒言

　本邦において真性多血症の第1例が，1909年北村によつて報告されて以来1968年までに234例の報告例が日比野ら^1），古徳ら^2）の統計で明らかにされている。しかしその眼底所見についての記載はきわめて少なく，わずか10例^2）〜11）にすぎない。特に網膜中心動脈閉塞をきたした例は本邦においてはまだ報告をみない。欧米においても真性多血症で網膜中心動脈の閉塞をきたした例はきわめて少ない^12）13）。

　今回われわれは，左内頸動脈閑塞を併発した真性多血症の患者で，左網膜中心動脈閉塞をきたした例を経験したので，その眼底所見について報告する。

A case of occlusion of central retinal artery secondary to polycythemia vera accompanied by internal carotid obliteration was the subject of our present follow-up study over four months, with emphasis on the funduscopic changes be-fore and after the development of the central retinal artery obliteration.

The results obtained were as follows:

1. Occlusion of central retinal artery in poly-cythemia vera may not develop all of a suddenbut is brought about by repeated temporary arrests of blood flow.
