視神経疾患の診断治療における中心フリッカー値測定の意義について

Clinical Evaluation of Usefulness of Determination of Central Critical Fusion Frequency in Ocular Diseases

緒言

　ちらつき光が融合する限界における光刺激の単位時間の頻度（Critical Fusion Frequency，以下CFFと略す）測定の視神経疾患への応用についての歴史をふりかえつてみると，第1表のとおりである^1）〜20）。まず，Braunstein^1）は1903年視神経疾患をはじめ各種の眼疾患患者の中心CFFを測定し，1933年Phillips^2）は視交叉部腫瘍にフリッカー視野（Flicker Fusion Field，以下FFFと略す）測定を応用している。

　その後，1930年代のGranit^{21）〜26）}，Hecht^{21）〜28）}Crozier^29）らの生理学的研究によりフリッカー光のCFFについての生理が解明された^30）31）。

An attempt was made to evaluate the clini-cal usefulness of determination of central criti-cal fusion frequency (CFF), using flicker app-aratuses developed by the authors. The flicker apparatuses were characterized by the use of servomechanism to stabilize the speed of the sector-disc and cds for the measurement of the light sources. Central CFF was determined in 557 cases of neuroophthalmological clinic and over 1000 out-patients with or without visual disturbances.

Extensive studies were mede on the basic deteriorating and recovery process of central vision and central CFF in cases of optic neuri-tis.
