I．緒言

　合致式レフラクトメーターは現在迄に，Fin—cham氏のCoincidence Optometer並びにHa—rtinger氏のKoinzidenz-Refraktometerがあつたが今回国産始めての合致式レフラクトメーターを発表したので構造・原理・特長等を述べる。

　基本構造においてFincham氏のCoin—cidence Optometerは一本の光標光束による眼底像の観察系光軸よりのづれを特殊な光学系によりその観察系で合致方式に変換しているがHartinger氏のKoinzidenz—Refraktometerにおいては一つの光標からプリズムにより二つの細い光束に分けその分離光束による眼底位置での各々の光標像の合致により頂点屈折力を検出している。

A description is given over the construction and optical principles of Topcon coincidence refractometer which is the first commercially available type to be produced of its kind in Japan.

The instrument has notable advantages over the earlier refractometer, several original ideas being applied as follows. For one, the target system to fix the gaze of the eye of the pa-tient is equipped with, its position being con-stantly kept on the plus side of diopter for the patient to eliminate the accommodation as much as possible.
