I．緒言

　所謂高安病は1908年高安氏が「奇異なる網膜中心血管の1例」として脳動脈灌流領域の血行障害の1部である眼症状について報告し，大西氏は更に同様症状に両腕焼骨動脈脈搏の欠除する1例を追加報告して以来，本態不明のまま種々の名称がつけられ報告されて来た。

　1948年に至り，清水・佐野氏は脈なし病と命名して自己の症例を精査し，従来の報告例を加えて症候学，病理学，病原論的に分析総合し，加えて治療方法として根本的な頸動脈再開通法をも案出し報告した。

Report is presented over a case of pulseless disease with initial eye symptoms of Taka-yasu's disease. The patient, a 19-year-old fe-male, was operated on by ingrafting artificial artery to by pass the common carotid from the ascending aorta to the upper portion of the common carotid at the bifurcation. The bilaterally performed operation resulted in improvement of various ocular and neuro-logical manifestations.
