要約　目的：アレルギー性結膜炎の搔痒感を軽減するために瞼裂を開いた状態で眼瞼を冷却するシートの紹介と，その臨床的応用の報告。対象と方法：両眼にアレルギー性結膜炎があり，スギ花粉症の既往がある10例を対象とした。「つ」または「こ」の形をした冷却シートを眼周囲に10分間貼り付け，これを各1週間続けた。質問書による問診と眼瞼部サーモグラフィで効果を評価した。結果：搔痒感の軽減には，両型ともに63％に効果があった。「つ」型は「こ」型よりも貼り付けにくいという欠点があった。サーモグラフィによる測定で，「つ」型では4.2±0.3℃，「こ」型では3.6±0.4℃の温度低下があった。結論：アレルギー性結膜炎の搔痒感を軽減するために，冷却シートが奏効する可能性がある。

Abstract.　Purpose：To describe our cooling sheet to alleviate itchiness in allergic conjunctivitis. Cases and Method：Ten patients with bilateral allergic conjunctivitis were tested with the new method. All had a history of allergy to cedar pollens. A cooling gel sheet, shaped like the alphabet C or Z, were patched onto the eyelids for 10 minutes. This procedure was repeated once a day for one week. The effect was evaluated by questionnaire and by thermography. Results：Both eyes of the cooling sheet was useful in alleviating itchiness in 63％ of eyes. Thermography showed decrease of skin temperature by 4.2±0.3℃ for C-shaped sheet and by 3.6±0.4℃ for Z-shaped sheet. Conclusion：The cooling gel sheet may be useful for reducing itching in allergic conjunctivitis.
