緒言
従来脊髄造影剤として沃度化油が用いられて来たが，高位脊髄即ち胸椎上部，頸椎の造影診断には腰椎部に比べて十分の診断的価値を拳げ得るのは困難であつた4）5）7）。それで今回マイオジールを用いて胸椎上部，頸椎部の脊髄の造影を行つてみたが此の点でよい成績が得られたのでその経験を述べる。
検査方法
The iodized oil has been used clinically as a contrast medium on myelography, but its use in the cervico-thoracic region has not been so convenient as in the lumbar region.
Now we used a new contrast medium,Myosil, in the radiographic diagnosis of the lesions in the cervico-thoracic region instead of the ordinary iodized oil, and four cases of more than ten cases examined with Myosil and a technique of examination are reported in this paper.
As compared with the iodized oil, it is more fluid and more easily injected and removed up to about 90% of the medium after the examination. It moves more rapidly in the spinal canal than the iodized oil because it is less viscid. Because of its lower surface tension it fills the root sleeves better and does not show false filling defects.
There is no undesirable side effects other than temporary mild headache which is relieved spontaneously.
