　気分障害患者43名(平均年齢39.7±11.9歳，男性24名，女性19名/大うつ病性障害29名，双極性障害14名)を対象に，強迫性パーソナリティ傾向を測定し，認知機能(知能検査，記憶検査)やうつ病症状との関連を検討した。その結果，動作性IQ，言語性記憶，視覚性記憶，一般的記憶において，強迫性パーソナリティ傾向の高い群が低い群よりも有意に得点が高かった。一方で，うつ病重症度において，強迫性パーソナリティ傾向の高い群が低い群よりも得点が高い傾向がみられた。このことより，気分障害患者は，強迫性パーソナリティ傾向の高い群と低い群に大きく二分され，高い群においては認知機能が高い臨床特性を持つことが示唆された。

We examined the possible association between the obsessive-compulsive (OC) personality and cognitive function in patients with mood disorders. A questionnaire of the OC personality, the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS), and the Wechsler Memory Scale (WMS) were administered to 43 patients (mean age 39.7±11.9, 24 males and 19 females/29 major depressive disorder and 14 bipolar disorder). The patients with high OC score (n＝22) showed significantly higher cognitive functions such as performance intelligence quotient, verbal memory, visual memory, and general memory than those patients with low OC score, although the former had more severe depressed symptoms than the later. Our results suggest that OC personality can be a character subtyping patients with mood disorders and those patients with high OC personality may have relatively high cognitive functions despite severe depressed symptoms.
