　インターフェロン（以下，IFN）投与が心臓自律神経機能へ影響を及ぼすか否かを調べる目的で，慢性肝炎患者10名に対しIFN投与前後で24時間ホルター心電図法による心拍変動解析を施行した。IFN投与後Wenckebach型2度房室ブロックの出現を認めた1例を除く9名において時系列解析およびスペクトル解析を用いて心臓自律神経機能を評価したが，IFN投与前後で明らかな変化を認めなかった。IFNが不整脈を誘発する機序として心臓自律神経機能に影響を与える可能性も指摘されていたが，今回の検討では心拍変動値への影響は明らかではなかった．

In order to investigate whether interferon administra-tion affects the cardiac autonomic nervous system, 24-hour ambulatory EGG recording was performed in 10 patients with chronic hepatitis. and heart rate variabil-ity was analyzed before and during the administration of interferon. Mean RR intervals, standard deviation of all sinus RR intervals over 24 hours, and frequency domaine indexes, which are the parameters of the car-diac autonomic activities, were unchanged between, before. and during the administration of interferon in nine patients, but one patient showed Wenckebach type second-degree atrioventricular block during the admin-istration of interferon. In this study. we were not able to obtain evidence that interferon administration affected the cardiac autonomic nervous system, but there is apossibility that it may do so and elicit cardiac dysrhythmia. We have to pay careful attention to the effect of interferon on the cardiac autonomic nervous system in the treatment of chronic hepatitis.
