要旨　sm食道癌のX線診断は至適な体位で二重造影法を巧みに利用してタイミングよく撮影すれば可能である．しかしsm食道癌のみならずep，mm食道癌の診断もX線学的に解決して食道癌の予後を良好にしなければならない．ep，mm，sm食道癌のX線所見の型分類は，X線所見だけでなく，肉眼所見，組織所見，予後などを反映させる分類が望ましい．この問題を解決したX線型分類として隆起，平坦，陥凹，混合型の4型に分類し，臨床上非常に有用であると考えられたので，実例を加えて報告した．

　The sm-esophageal cancer can be diagnosed radiologically from the adequate double contrast method of the esophagus and adequate position of patient whose cancer can be catched most precisely at the x-ray examination. The radiological findings of sm-esophageal cancer can not be caught compared to the advanced esophageal cancer. The radiological classification on the sm-esophageal cancer is showed with elevated type, flat type, depressed type, combined type and radiological figures of each type. This classification agrees with the macroscopic findings and histological invasive depth of carcinoma. To improve the prognosis of esophageal cancer it must be diagnosed radiologically and be treated adequately.
