　消化管悪性腫瘍のうち悪性リンパ腫は癌に次いで多いものであるが，その発生頻度は極めて低い．今回われわれは回盲部に発生した限局性の悪性リンパ腫を経験したので報告する．

　A 57-year-old man who had complained of epigastralgia for six months was carried to emergency hospital because of unconsciousness with a large amount of bloody stool. And then he was moved to our hospital for further detailed examination. Remarkable physical findings were not revealed, and the results of the laboratory studies were within normal limits, except slight anemia, positive occult blood reaction of the stool and increase in gamma globulin fraction.

　Barium enema revealed a tumor shadow in the cecum and giant relief of the terminal ileum. Endoscopic examination of the colon showed nodular tumors with multiple erosions. According to these findings a cancer of the colon was diagnosed, but malignant lymphoma was suspected by the findings of the biopsy.

　So the patient was operated on. Histologically, the tumor was diagnosed as malignant lymphoma (histiocytic type) extending from the cecum to terminal ileum.
