要旨 患者は51歳，女性．主訴は下痢．潰瘍性大腸炎と診断され治療中であったが，経過中に直腸に区域性の狭窄が出現した．狭窄部の粘膜からの生検で異型上皮は認められず，また経過中に狭窄の増悪はみられず癌の合併は否定的であった．狭窄の原因は特定されていないが，直腸に限局した炎症性の疾患が合併したものとして経過観察中である．
A 51-year-old female with a history of ulcerative colitis had been followed up regularly by barium enema study and colonofiberscopy. An area of stenosis of the rectum was pointed out by barium enema study and she was referred to our hospital. The biopsy specimen of the stenotic rectal mucosa showed no atypical epitheluim nor was there any aggravation of the stenosis in her clinical course. Considering these factors, no diagnosis of cancer was made. We speculated that an inflammatory disease localized in the rectum had been associated with ulcerative colitis and caused the stenosis.
