要旨　内視鏡的に切除された大腸隆起性病変から，Longacreらの定義に従い，組織学的にserrated adenoma 93病変を選出し，その組織学的特徴について検索した．対照病変として，hyperplastic polyp，tubular adenomaを用いた．増殖細胞の検討から，hyperplastic polypに比してserrated adenomaでは腺底部から粘膜表層部への増殖細胞の変移がみられ，組織学的に，腺底部のみならず粘膜表層部にも核の腫大・密在がみられることがその特徴であった．

　We studied the histological features of serrated adenoma which, according to Longacre et al., are suitable as pathological diagnostic criteria.

　Ninety-three lesions of serrated adenoma obtained by colonoscopy were studied. As control, 170 hyperplastic polyps and 100 tubular adenomas were used.

　Proliferating cells in serrated adenoma frequently moved from the base of the crypt to the upper portion, as revealed by Ki-67 (MIB-1) stain. The result obtained in this study suggests that serrated adenoma has neoplastic characteristics similar to tubular adenoma and nuclear pseudostratification of the crypt from the middle to the upper zone, which features have high predictive value for diagnosing serrated adenoma.
