椎体骨折評価基準（2012年度改訂版）

New Diagnostic Criteria and Guidelines on Osteoporosis. Justification criteria for vertebral fractures；year 2012 revision.

　2012年に，原発性骨粗鬆症の診断基準と椎体骨折評価基準が同時に改訂された。椎体骨折評価基準は，1996年以来17年間に蓄積された臨床試験に基づいて改訂された。主な変更点は，１）半定量的評価法（SQ法）を評価法に加えたこと，２）椎体骨折関連用語の整理，３）椎体骨折診断におけるMRIの有用を追記したことである。椎体骨折は骨粗鬆症治療ばかりでなく骨折治療においても重要である。今回の改訂は，骨粗鬆症治療と骨折治療が切れ目なく日常臨床で実施できることを目標にした。

　Justification Criteria for Vertebral Fractures 2012 version was made based on new clinical findings. Major differences in this version compared to the 1996 version are 1）inclusion of the semiquatitative method（SQ），2）statements to improve considerations during radiographic analysis, and 3）the need for more detailed evaluation by MRI. New Justification Criteria aims that the treatment of vertebral fracture in both fracture and osteoporosis is properly performed in daily clinical practice.
