Radiological features of diffuse liver disease mainly consist of hepatic morphological abnormality, density/signal alteration of the liver parenchyma, vascular/perfusion abnormality of the liver, intrahepatic bile duct abnormality, and the portal canal(Glisson’s sheath)abnormality. These features are non-specific and the diagnosis is usually based on combined the radiological features and clinical findings including biochemical examination results. In spite of the limitations, several specific radiological features of diffuse liver disease for the diagnosis are recognized. In this review, the major radiological features of diffuse liver disease are outlined and various representative cases are presented with emphasize of the key radiological features.
