小児の気道は成人と比べて相対的に細く，容易に狭窄し得る。気道狭窄の原因として大きく2つに分けて非感染性・感染性によるものがある。

We reviewed the imaging findings of pediatric emergency diseases of the head and neck and upper respiratory tract. There are wide variety of diseases such as infections, foreign bodies in the respiratory tract, and congenital disease, some of them are life-threatening. The risk of sudden changes should always be considered, it is important to identify the disease by clinical symptoms and diagnostic imaging as soon as possible.
