Percutaneous biopsy for mutational analysis

悪性腫瘍の診療の進歩により，発がんの引き金となった遺伝子異常（ドライバー遺伝子）が明らかになり，そこをターゲットとした分子標的薬の登場や，免疫チェックポイント阻害薬など新たな作用機序による抗がん治療が始まっている。特に肺癌領域での治療開発は著しく，他の癌種もこれに追随する状況である。

Biopsy is an important procedure for appropriate treatment with new drugs such as molecular target agents or immune checkpoint blockade. Biopsy sites are varied depending on various tumor conditions such as their tumor characteristics, previous chemotherapies and heterogeneity. Patients’ safety and radiation exposure have to be considered when the puncture routes are planned.

This article showed importance of percutaneous biopsy for mutational analysis.
