一般にアミロイドーシスは全身性，限局性に区別される。生命予後へ大きな影響を与えるのは全身性アミロイドーシスであり，脳アミロイドーシス（Alzheimer病）のような例を除けば，限局性アミロイドーシスの大部分は良性疾患である。頭頸部領域におけるアミロイドーシス好発部位は喉頭や舌であり，上咽頭ではまれとされている。我々は，上咽頭に発生した限局性アミロイドーシスの1例を，若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。

Nasopharyngeal amyloidosis is a rare type of that in head and neck lesion. We report a case of a 50-year-old man that can present diagnostic challenge. CT and MR imaging showed a protruded irregular mass but not destructive invasion on back wall of nasopharynx. On MRI, the mass showed hypointensity on T2-weighted images, surrounded by the contrast enhanced layer, but not prominent part contained. ¹⁸F-FDG PET/CT showed increased FDG uptake on that site. Histologically, the mass was proved to be an amyloid nodule.
