I am so pleased to be here and to be able to share my ideas about curriculum development for nursing diagnosis. Thank you to the Japan Society for Nursing Diagnosis for inviting me and to Dr. Mitsuko Matsuki for her kind support in helping me to prepare for the trip. Thank you to Professor Reiko Ryder and Professor Yoshiko Nojima for being chairpersons of my lectures. Thank you to the interpreters. Ms. Shigematsu and Ms. Ishuno.
Coming to Japan for your conference gave me the experience of seeing your country; this is something that I wanted to do for a long time. My daughter met me here from Hawaii last weekend and we visited Osaka, Kyoto, and Nara. We also visited my daughter's friend, Kyomi Tagata in the beautiful green tea region of Shizuoka. We had a wonderful week. I Iearned to say a few words in Japanese, I hope you can understand me when I say. Go sho tie arriato gozaimus.
