The purpose of this study is to clear the relationship between the neutrophil and lymphocyte ratio and weight gain rate and behavioral characteristics and psychological processes in hemodialysis patients. The subject were 28 hemodialysis outpatients (non diabetic group 14, diabetic group 14) who agreed to participate in this study. Blood data and weight gain rate were used to measure the degree of clinical inspection data. In order to assess the psychology, STAI, SDS, difficulty in emotion recognition scale, the self-repressiveness scale was used. A result of correlation analysis indicated that non diabetic group relation between the neutrophil and lymphocyte ratio, and depression, anxiety, and weight gain rate was significant. The diabetic group was not relation between the neutrophil and lymphocyte ratio, and all the items. These results suggest that observation of the neutrophil and lymphocyte ratio can be used as an indicator of the mental state of non diabetic group.
