The purpose of this study is to compare the difference of a living body response to mental stress between young and elderly people.

25 subjects in their twenties and 17 subjects in their sixties to eighties were tested with the Uchida-Kraepelin Test on mental stress, and we observed their perceived fatigue, blood pressure and heart rate.

As the result, the elderly people felt less fatigue than the young people. It was indicated, however, that the elderly became more overloaded with mental stress.

Studies indicated that we must be careful of patients' responses while we are assigning them activities.
