アクティブチェアを目標とした自動車メーカーとの協業による障害児用カーシートの製作

Car seat for a disabled child based on the active chair produced through a collaboration with an auto manufacturer

要旨：この論文は，新しいコンセプトに基づく障害児用カーシート試作の過程を紹介する．アクティブチェア車椅子の障害児への適応は，作業療法の臨床現場で成功していた．本企画は，自動車メーカーとの協業によって，アクティブチェアを目標にカーシートを製作することであった．このシートに座った脳性麻痺児の姿勢アライメントは改善した．児の体圧分布の計測はアライメントの改善を裏付けた．児の骨盤と脊柱は椅子によって支えられていた．約1年間にわたりシートを使用した結果，良い着座姿勢であった．だが児の身長は1年で約10cm伸びた．そのため，シートは児に合わなくなってきた．この事実から，取り付け式カーシートの限界も明らかになった．

　This paper introduces the process, based on new concepts, for the trial making of a car seat for a disabled child. The active chair has been adopted in my clinical setting. To realize the concept of the active chair as a car seat was a goal of this collaboration with the auto manufacturer. The body alignment of the child was improved when sitting in this car seat. The improvement of the body alignment was identified by the measurement of body pressure distribution system. The pelvis and vertebral column of the child was supported properly by the seat. The result of using the car seat over about 1 year was satisfactory. The standing height of the child increased by about 10 cm over the 1year period. The seat became small to the child. Through this fact, the limit of the mounting style car seat was also clarified.
