The case study aims to describe a disabled elderly woman who did not use her skills obtained by occupational therapy in a hospital. The reason was assumed that the therapist did not take the patient's needs into consideration in the practice of occupational therapy. Therefore, history taking on the patient's value and interest was conducted as well as environmental adjustment with the patient's family.

As a result of the reconstruction of the patient's overall treatment scheme, the improvement was noted on the patient's life satisfaction and span of daily activities. Client-centered occupational therapy should include an investigation of the patient's life history, his views of his own life, and also important, the thrapist's flexible attitudes with regard to those needs.
