This study aims to investigate a student's consciousness of a psychiatric section after evaluation practice.

Subjects : Occupational therapy department second grade (33).

Methods : Enforced a questionnaire that is about consciousness regarding a psychiatric section, after ending evalution practice.

 Results and discussions:

・ Prejudice toward psychiatric treatment decreases by deepening his/her interest and understanding of a psychiatric section.

・ Understanding of psychiatric treatment and occupational therapy is deepened with sufficient instruction time with a student.

・ Interest in a psychiatric section can be raised by reducing prejudice toward psychiatric treatment.

・ The desire to emulate a clinical practice surpervisor, for instance, can be promoted by a good understanding of facilities and instruction content.

・ The resulting score of a clinical practice surpervisor was better in comparison with a student's score. I think that the student's subjective feelings toward the activities were an influencing factor.

・ A student with an objective outlook, with regard to overall expectations, has higher scores.

・ Concerns over clinical practice decrease with a good understanding of facilities and with how the tasks are set up.
