Post-Stroke Depression (PSD) is one of the most frequent psychiatric complications of stroke. Its pathophysiology is associated with the physical and neuronal dysfunctions in stroke patients, and its high prevalence is estimated to be around 30-70%. This investigation analyzed the current situation of rehabilitation professionals (occupational, physical and speech therapists) concerning their recognition and education about mental function, including PSD. The results demonstrated that the differences among the three professionals were characteristically exhibited in their knowledge about PSD, and curriculum at technical schools and medical colleges. Moreover, the more pre- and post-education performance was conducted, the more frequently intervention in PSD was carried out in clinical settings. This study highlights the importance of rehabilitation education of knowledge and skills.
