A series of speech therapy sessions was remotely provided using a free communication application on the internet to an adult case with a lateral lisp. The case was a 22-year-old woman, who wished to correct her pronunciation before going to clinical practicum. Both evaluation and training were conducted using the free communication app Zoom. Neither morphological nor neurological abnormalities were observed in her orofacial musculature including the tongue. A revised version of the Articulation Test was carried out, and a lateral lisp was found in the sounds [k, ɡ, ɾ]. One month after the initial evaluation, the second evaluation was performed. Since the initially recognized lateral lisp was no longer identified, the remote training was terminated. Although remote training does not allow direct observation and auditory judgement of the client's speech production, it was shown that it is useful for improving articulation to the same degree as face-to-face training.
