10．診療看護師の役割—医学的トレーニングを受け，看護実践を行う

The perspective from practice as a certified nurse practitioner

診療看護師とは，米国のnurse practitioner（NP）制度を基に本邦で育成が開始された高度実践看護師である。集中治療領域の診療看護師は，ICU多職種連携をICUだけで終わらせず，患者のステージに合わせて包括的なアプローチを継続することを目標に病棟横断的に活動している。「医学的トレーニング」を受けていることを強みとして，多職種連携のなかでさまざまな業務を実施している。本邦では米国のNPのように制度化されておらず，まだ認知度が低いが，新しい職種として多職種連携のなかでの役割を構築し，医療に貢献するために活動している。

Nurse Practitioners certified by the Japan NP Graduate School of Education Council （NP） are advanced practice nurses that have been trained in Japan based on the nurse practitioner system in the United States. NPs in intensive care work across hospital wards with the goal of maintaining a comprehensive approach tailored to each individual patient, rather than maintaining ICU multidisciplinary collaboration in the intensive care unit alone. Taking advantage of their “medical training,” they perform a variety of tasks in the context of multidisciplinary collaboration. In Japan, this profession is not institutionalized as nurse practitioners are in the U.S., and it is still not well known. We are working to contribute to medical care by building a new role for this new profession in the context of multidisciplinary cooperation.
