神経筋伝達の筋伸長による促通

Facilitating effects of muscle stretch on the neuro-muscular transmission

　カエルの神経筋標本において筋を伸長すると，間接刺激による筋活動電位が増大することは古くから知られていたが，この成因に就いては種々の解釈がなされていた（Forbes，Ray ＆ Hopkins，1923：Fulton，1925）。最近Ralston ＆ Libet（1953）が活動電位の増大は活動する筋線維の数の増加であることを証明したが，又一方において筋伸長によつて同時に終板電位が増大することも見られた（Kuffler，1952：Libet ＆ Wright，1952）。筋伸長によつてこのように終板電位が増大することは甚だ興味のある事実であり，本実験はその機序を解明する目的で行つたものである。

　The effetcts of the muscle stretch on the amplitude of the action patential of the muscle stimulated indirectly and the size of its e.p.p.were investigated with various skeletal muscle of frog and toad in response to supermaximal motor nerve volleys.

　1) The amplitude of the muscle action potential increased with lengthening of the muscle, but the rate of increase was various in different preparations. The greater effect of stretch was observed in gastrocnemius muscle, and tibialis ant, than in the sartorious muscle of the frog. The stretch effect was also observed in the gastrocnemius mucle of the toad in vivo.
