要旨：〔目的〕本研究では，周術期消化管がん患者の手術前後における栄養指数と身体運動機能の変化と指標間の関係性について検討することである．〔対象と方法〕対象は，消化管がん患者42名（男性22名，女性20名，平均年齢61.3±11.1歳）とした．各対象者には，手術前と手術後に栄養指数として小野寺式栄養指数（prognostic nutritional index；PNI），身体運動機能の指標としてtimed“up and go”test（TUG）の2項目を測定し，各測定項目の手術前後での変化およびPNIとTUGの関係について検討した．〔結果〕PNIおよびTUGいずれにおいても，手術後に有意の低下を認めた．また，手術前後おのおのの時期においてPNIとTUGの間に有意な負の相関が認められた．〔考察〕消化管がん患者の手術前後に起きる蛋白動態変化と廃用性筋萎縮に伴う身体運動機能変化をPNIとTUGが反映した可能性が示唆された．また，手術前後各時期において，PNIとTUGは関連している可能性が明らかとなった．今後，身体運動機能に対する他要因の影響についてさらに検討する必要がある．
