はじめに
近年thermoplasticsの開発により，その材質上の特性から各種装具における利用は多く，新しい試みがなされている．
Oxford Orthopaedic Engineering Centreでは慢性関節リウマチ（以下RA）による後足部痛や外反足変形に対し，ポリプロピレン製のankle-foot orthosis（以下AFO）を開発し臨床的な成果をみている．
この装具を紹介し，歩行力学的な知見を報告する．
