臨床検査においては，リスク，デインジャー，クライシス，ハザードの4つの言葉の相違を理解し，リスクマネジメントに役立てることが大切である．特にリスクに相当する事項は何としても乗り越えなくてはならず，デインジャーに相当するものは臨床の現場から排除しなければならない．現在の日本の社会状況は，苦情と暴力が多いという特徴があり，医療現場でも何らかのトラブルに遭遇する可能性がある．そのような場合には現場をサポートするトップマネジメントの役割が非常に重要である．

I explain the basic principles of risk management in medical practice.　It is most important to know the different meaning of the next four terms：risk, danger, crisis and hazard.　The social situation has gotten worse and worse in Japan.　We must carry out medical service in unsafe circumstances.　The medical practitioners promise to do their best during the time of medical contact, but cannot assure a good outcome.　It is very important to communicate with patients and family members.　When trouble has broken out with a patient, the top management of the hospital must support the staff members concerned.
