IBD and microbiota in the gut

分子生物学・免疫学の飛躍的な進歩により，炎症性腸疾患(潰瘍性大腸炎・クローン病など)の病態は“何らかの遺伝的背景を有する宿主が，腸内細菌や食事などの環境因子に対して過剰・異常な免疫反応が惹起され，慢性腸管炎症が生じるもの”と理解される．近年，環境因子の中でも特に腸内細菌が注目されている．現時点では遺伝子異常の結果として起こる腸内細菌パターンの乱れであるdysbiosisが病態発症に重要な役割を果たしていると考えられる．

Recent studies in molecular biology, immunology, and genetics have proceeded the elaboration of inflammatory bowel diseases (IBDs). Now, pathogenesis of IBDs is supposed that genetic background and other environmental factors, such as gut flora or dietary habitat, induce the dysregulation of normal immunological responses and develop chronic colitis. One of the important environmental factors is gut flora. Dysbiosis of intestinal flora due to the genetic background of the host plays an important role in the development of IBDs.
