頸部腫瘤を初発とした歯肉癌の2症例

Two Cases of Cancer of the Gingiva Manifested with Cervical Masses

I．はじめに

　頭頸部癌においては頸部リンパ節転移が先に発見され，治療が開始されるまでにその原発部位が判明しないことは稀ではない。こうした例は上咽頭癌，舌根癌，頸部食道癌などの場合に多いといわれている^1）。このたびわれわれは頸部リンパ節転移が先に出現し，その治療を開始した後に発見された原発部位が，歯肉という稀な部位であった症例を2例経験したので報告する。

　Cervical lymph nodes metastasis usually appears after their primary neoplasm is found, but they are infrequently found from unknown primary site. This commonly occurs in nasopharyngeal carcinoma but very rarely in cancer of the gingiva (about 1.4% of sites of primary head and neck carcinomas originally considered occult). We reported the two rare cases.

　Case 1. a 65-year-old male with cancer of the lower gingiva.

　Case 2. a 32-year-old male with cancer of the upper gingiva.
