A 58-year-old man, following the common cold, developed frontal sinusitis, which was complicated by frontal bone osteomyelitis and a soft "doughy" swelling-Pott's puffy tumor-the frontal region. X-ray films revealed an osteolytic lesion at the site of swelling. Suspected etiologic factors were hypoplasia of the frontal sinus, obstruction of the middle meatus due to a polyp and constriction of the nasofrontal duct at frontal recess due to a high orbitocranial canal.
The complete removal of the sequestra and granulation and creation of a communicating passage to the nasal cavity were performed, and post-operative progress was satisfactory.
